The Robert Burns Story

John Cairney first recorded Burns in London as a double-sided LP entitled John Cairney as Robert Burns released by EMI/Waverley in January 1967 as (LP) ZLP 2102. It received excellent notices but was categorised as 'Educational' and promptly disappeared. It is now something of a collector's item.

The following year he did a further recording of the same material for REL Records in Edinburgh re-titled John Cairney Tells The Robert Burns Story (REL448C) and this is the version still in the market as a CD.
